Los Angeles County Marriage License ~ Wedding Officiant

Jail House Wedding
Sorry we do not travel to Jails or Prisons.  You need to get permission from a Judge or Warden to marry someone in custody.  This process is very time consuming and we just do not have the time to do this for couples.
New requirement in 2008 the Notary Public that issues the license can not be the person performing the ceremony in Los Angeles County.  So your marriage can be invalid if you use a Notary that does not know the new rules.
One warning for individuals wishing to marry someone in custody.  Proxy Marriage is NOT Legal and if someone says they can marry you over the phone they are stealing your money and committing a crime.  The marriage will not be legal.  Contact the Los Angeles County Recorder for more information on "Jail House Wedding Scams". 562/462-2137
